Our Vision

Families can help families and people can help other people in partnership with public programs when special needs trust services are available for people with disabilities.

People are handicapped by a lack of resources available to them. An accessible world provides opportunities for a good life.

Special needs trust organizations help make the good life more accessible for people with disabilities.

Our Goals

• Provide training and consulting services for emerging special needs trust organizations.

• Help existing special needs trust organizations exchange information to help them grow.

• Support national special needs trust conferences and associations of special needs trust organizations.

• Encourage the involvement of families in the process so that new organizations are formed, existing organizations are strengthened, and the overall nonprofit purpose – to benefit the people with disabilities – is kept in clear focus.

Our People

Our consultants include:

• People involved with some of the largest and most established organizations providing special trust services going back to 1972.

• Professionals who have drafted special needs trust legislation at the state and federal level, including OBRA-93, the uniform federal statue.

• Consultants knowledgeable about various facets of running a special needs trust organization.

• Individuals who have been speakers on special needs trust topics at national conferences.
