How can the JMK Special Needs Center help?

In 1993, federal law established a uniform protection for people with disabilities, by enabling the use of special needs trusts under the Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1993c(OBRA-93). These trusts provide a variety of special needs services. Presently, not-for-profit organizations provide special needs trust services in only about half of the state around the country. Many of these groups are still quite small.

John M Kitchen Special Needs Center does not duplicate the work of existing non-profit special needs trust organizations. Instead, we want to help them grow. We also want to aid in the development of new non-profit organizations in other states, so that special needs trust services are available everywhere.

By teaming together with non-profit organizations providing special needs trust services we can reach our shared vision.
